At a regular high school by-passers might expect to see a real snow man out front of the building.  But at Jeff Tech don’t be surprised if you see a snow man made out of spare parts from the Auto Mechanics shop.  Instructor, Mr. Andy Watt, had students using tires and car parts to make a snow man that the students painted white.  Drafting Instructor, Mr. Thomas Tinker, assigned his senior drafting students the task of building a geographically correct model Christmas village from the ground up.

“Working with the IT Academy’s Digital Media Technology program we have created a regular television show called ‘Higher Thinking’,” said Dr. Brown.  “The purpose of the show is to start with something the students are familiar with and then challenge them to develop that idea.  By building on a foundation that is already in place students expand their thinking to a higher level.”

“Higher Thinking” is a show about students, made by students, and for students and it airs internally on the JeffTechTV network as well as in streaming video format on the school’s website at www.jefftech.us. The segments may be comedy, adventure, instructional, or drama.

This video shows real Jeff Tech students confronting the hard realities of the dubious underworld ideas of drugs, alcohol, and tobacco. Will they fall for the temptations that come across their paths or will Red Ribbon Girl be able to reach them in time with the hard facts of drug consequences? This video was released Monday morning via emails coming to a home room near you.

The Culinary shops garden has been harvested and our Culinary shop is canning! This video shows a few of the Culinary seniors canning their itailian red pepper harvest with shop instructor Mr. Galuzzi talking through the process.
