Social Studies

The Social Studies program can help the learning disabled student just as it serves regular students to meet the challenges of citizenship in a changing world by providing opportunities in cooperation, sharing, creativity, and responsibility. Units for teaching the social studies program include state and federal government, basic economics, consumer’s rights and responsibilities, basic geometry, map skills, comparison-shopping, survival skills, and current events.
