Selection of Students

The Coordinator selects the students for the Practical Nursing Program. All students must meet the admission standards of the program. After making formal application to the program, the applicant is scheduled for the basic skills assessment and for a personal interview with the Coordinator. In order to be scheduled for a personal interview, the applicant’s application must be complete. A complete application includes a copy of all transcripts or G.E.D. scores, and three references.

The Jefferson County-DuBois A.V.T.S. completion, graduation, and transfer rates are available by January 3, of each year. To request a copy of the report, contact the Coordinator of Practical Nursing.
