AUTO MECHANICS are the physicians and diagnosticians of today's motor vehicles. Students will be involved in finding the source of motor vehicle problems and in adjusting or repairing them. Various learning applications involve repair and maintenance of internal combustion engines, including ignition, cooling, fuel injection, fuel systems, computer diagnostics, and electrical systems.

Wheel suspensions, braking systems, steering mechanism, transmissions, power trains, lubricating systems, differentials, clutches, and front axles, are also covered in the hands-on "live auto" training that this program offers. Troubleshooting and determining the cause of a mechanical malfunction is an integral part of a mechanic’s task.Job opportunities exist nationwide for the highly-trained individuals who can competently analyze and repair today's complex automotive systems. This shop is NATEF certified.
