Biology I

Biology I is a course of study that integrates the treatment of biology and chemistry as a single unified domain of subject matter. The purpose of the course is to provide the science foundation for curricula in agriculture, health, family consumer science, and certain trade and technical areas.
 
Biology I is a lab-centered, hands-on course that stresses the application of science process skills to the investigation and solution of various problems related to biology, chemistry and genetics. Much effort is made to relate the subject matter to relevant and practical issues facing potential voting citizens of our society. Major areas of study in this course include methods of science, chemistry, cell biology, and genetics.
