English 12

English 12 is a course designed to give twelfth grade student’s instruction in each of the communication skills: understanding, speaking, listening, reading and writing. Workplace communication skills will be emphasized. Cover letters and resumes are studied and developed as a course requirement. In addition, vocabulary work will be emphasized. Students will encouraged to express points of view and take pride in their support of these points. They will be expected to understand that each individual may hold different ideals, and that each person should be open to the acceptance of others, regardless of what that person may think. Literature will be studied, as well, in short story and novel format.
